Mode: Competition
The Typing Competition Mode is very similiar to the Typing Test in that it uses the same base wordlist and has the same structure (time, default number of rows in typingbox, result display etc.).
A public typing competition runs for 24 hours, during that time, the competition is displayed on the list of competitions at /competitions. Users can try as many times as they like and the user with the highest score wins.
Win conditions and tie breaker
- results from cheaters or results that are locked (before being unlocked by an anticheat) are not shown/considered in the ranking
- user with the highest WPM/Score (first order is wpm, score is used for tied wpm’s) wins
Difference public and private competitions
Public
- each user can only create one public competition in 24 hours (independent of the language)
- wins count (visible on profile page) and winner is displayed in TopRanking
- duration: 24h
- visibility: displayed on /competitions
Private
- no limitation
- wins don’t count, but the winner is still displayed in the TopRanking
- duration: either 1 day, 3 days or 7 days
- not discoverable, users have to send the link to their friends, eveyone with the link can join
